And in some cases, it doesn't mean any of those things. In rare cases, it can also signify a problem with the baby's kidneys. But in some cases, it's a sign of an abnormal opening in the baby's spine (spina bifida), head, or abdominal wall that's allowing AFP to leak out. If there's more AFP than expected, it may mean that you're carrying more than one baby or that your baby is older than your practitioner thought. A baby produces AFP throughout gestation, and a certain amount of it should cross the placenta into the mother's bloodstream at each stage.
Ideally, the test should be performed in conjunction with first-trimester screening tests. The quad screen is done in the second trimester, between 15 and 22 weeks of pregnancy (16 to 18 weeks is considered best). Knowing this can enable you and your practitioner to be on the lookout for signs of trouble. This will delete only the current marker, not any other markers that are selected in the 3D model window.The quad screen (sometimes referred to as the quadruple screen, AFP4, or multiple marker) is a blood test that can tell you whether your baby is at an increased risk for certain conditions. To delete a marker, select Delete from the popup menu of the marker in the Navigator window. Then you can change the name of the new marker (Default NewMarker_xx), the location and/or the body that the marker is attached to. A new marker attached to the ground frame will be added to the model and made selected in the "Properties" window.
Center of the screen marker plus#
Click on the plus sign next to the name of the current model to display its components, then right-click on the Markers category and choose Add New from the drop-down menu. To add markers to the current model you need to use the Navigator window. This provides for a convenient method to map a location in 3D specified in one frame to another frame.
One convenient function carried over from the old Marker Editor is that when you change the name of the frame that a marker is attached to, it stays in the same location in 3D space. These offsets are expressed in the reference frame of the body to which the frame is attached, which is shown above the location property. Click on the appropriate field, and type in the desired value as three space separated numbers. For this method, the markers do not need to be selected in the 3D view, but you can only modify the location of the marker displayed in the Properties window. The second method of moving markers is to type their exact XYZ offsets relative to the frame that the Marker is attached to, into the number fields in the locationproperty. You will see the selected marker will move. You can drag the marker on the screen using the triad to move it in x,y,z directions.
